Athletics Wollongong's Delta Amidzovski has continued her rise through the ranks, recently announced as a member of the national team heading to Tokyo's World Athletics Championships.
Selected in the Long Jump, she will be part of Australia's largest ever team assembled for a global Championship.
Making her Open-age team debut, Delta will share the stage alongside established local stars Jessica Hull and Sarah Carli.
While her focus will be on her own event - with the qualification round to be held September 13th, from 7:15pm (AEST) - it will surely be a thrill to compete alongside the very top echelon of athletes: during the same session will be the prelims of the 100m races, Men's pole vault, and Women's 1500m!
The 2025 World Athletics Championships will be broadcast on both Channel 9 and SBS.
