 Ages 8 to 80+
Athletes of all abilities

Athletics Wollongong has a long and proud tradition in the Illawarra. Since its inception in 1958 under the banner of Wollongong Southern Flame Amateur Athletics Club, we have striven to develop the sport of track and field in Wollongong and to provide quality athletic competition and coaching.

Athletics Wollongong caters for athletes of all ages and abilities who enjoy friendly competition in a relaxed environment. Club members can choose to compete at club level only, or participate in Inter-club, Country, State, National or International events.

We contest all athletic disciplines and provide electronic timing in all track events.

During the winter season (generally April to August), athletes can compete in ANSW Cross Country events or contest our Winter pointscore at local parkruns.

For athletes who would like additional coaching or assistance with a training schedule, the club has access to a number of Accredited Coaches.

In 2018 Athletics Wollongong celebrated its 60th Anniversay.  For more details on our club's history, visit our 60th Anniversary Facebook group.

Athletics Wollongong has a Member Protection Policy so that responsible behaviour can be maintained. The club also has a Working With Children Check Policy.

Athletics Wollongong is an incorporated body registered with the NSW Dept. of Fair Trade.  Our Constitution complies with all requirements of the Dept. of Fair Trade and Athletics NSW.

Athletics Wollongong's Committee Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at Wollongong Tennis Club.  All club members are welcome to attend and have a part in the organisation of our club.
