 Athletics NSW Competition

Athletics Wollongong members, apart from those registered as Community Athletes, are eligible, and encouraged to compete at Athletics NSW events. These cover track and field competitions in summer plus cross country, road running and road walks during the winter season. Athletes can progress from here to national and international level. More information can be found on the ANSW web site at nswathletics.org.au.

Athletics Wollongong supports Athletics NSW Winter Season events.  Athletes have the opportunity to combine with Illawarra Blue Stars and Nowra athletes to compete as 'South Coast' teams in relay events. Check nswathletics.org.au for full details.

Winter Distance Running Pointscore

Athletics Wollongong conducts a winter pointscore based on local parkruns. This is to encourage our club members to keep active during the winter months without the need for a separate winter program. To register with parkrun, go to parkrun.com.au.
To promote the social ‘catch up’ feel, there will be a preferred parkrun on the first Saturday of each month.
The first will be on 4th May at Sandon Point.

The pointscore will be held between 1st May until 31st August, and runners must be financial or life members of Athletics Wollongong.

Further information can be found at Winter parkrun pointscore information.
